Blank canvas

Blank Canvas 

Crisp white edges, plain face inviting colour. The intoxicating smell of new paint undulates around the room. Bright vivid colours sit in the pallet at the ready. 

I glance in front of me  

Light dances on the surface of the vast ocean, a deep carpet that encroaches on the sand. White, lacy spray pirouettes across the dunes. The beach is alive. Scents from the sea engulf the beach as the warm hazy light crowns the view. Rocks beaten and worn from stormy days relax and sigh. Tranquility rests here. A lone boat drifts across the sea, rippling the glassy effect and sends it to paw gently on the edge of the sand. 

I am satisfied. 

I look down and begin to paint.
