A happy ending scribbled on the pages of our childhood,
Where the knight saves the girl,
Why is it always that the guy is the clam and the girl is the Pearl,
Not able to save herself,
She’s not an ornament resting upon a shelf,
Girls used to be courted by men in suits,
That’s suppose to be the route,
But now women sit on top of hills,
Their mind not oppressed, in hand a quill,
Now they ink the pages with tales,
Of how the emerged victorious though much doubt presuming she would fail,
Maybe we want a fairytale,
But for that we must all scale,
The tallest mountains , the longest paths,
Run without glancing back at the past,
The future at our feet,
Hoping one day our happy ending and fairytale will meet.
