Home,

I’d seen you enough,

You’d always be here when things were tough.

But,

I’m sorry now,

I needed a break from you, somehow.

 

Home,

A place I would normally die to be,

After I’d been swimming in the sea.

But,

Being here all the time,

Made me feel less than fine.

 

Home,

I wanted to be skiing,

Not staring at the TV that I kept on seeing.

But,

You’d always been here,

Standing up-right, there to care.

 

Home,

I love you all the same,

Though staying with you every day was rather lame.
