I'm an overthinker

I’m an overthinker.

I’m not afraid to say so, for I know that it is true.

I’m an overthinker.

It's a feature of my star sign, perhaps my personality too.

I’m an overthinker.

I over analyse and dwell.

I'm an overthinker I don’t know if you can tell.

I'm an overthinker.

You think you thought of that before me?

I'm an overthinker.

Well clearly you don’t know me.

I'm an overthinker.

I get paranoid about tiny things.

I'm an overthinker.

I fiddle and I fix, like a bird preening it’s wings. 

I'm an overthinker.

I’ve mentally prepared for a dozen situations.

I'm an overthinker.

I've acted out scenarios in the kitchen.

I'm an overthinker.

And it’s probably not my fault.

I'm an overthinker.

“Oh would you please not spill the salt”

I'm an overthinker.

So please try to bear with me,

I'm an overthinker.

If I get flustered by my hair, my clothes and everything I have with me.
