The importance of self love

And at that moment she knew that right there and then she was the only one who was there for her. Nobody around her cared as much as she hoped they did, like she blatantly told herself they did as she cried herself to sleep. Sometimes you have to be your own best friend till you find a true one. Sometimes you have to be your own lover when others aren’t there for you. And even when you are surrounded by people who appreciate your worth, there is nothing more valuable than truly loving yourself.
