Alone

I hear my mothers voice, there and now, warm in my bed, my eyes closing...but this tone...this language...the sleepy calmness had gone now, just a stressful, horrible tone, a sentence I never thought I would hear...shouting at my father. Salty water runs down my cheeks. I notice an open window. I hate this voice...I creep to the window...I jump. Whish, whish, a majestic breeze runs through my hair. The Beach was not far from here. I walk, walk slowly to the Beach, I feel the sand through the gaps of my toes, I'm alone. A sky like I've never seen before, reds, and yellows, oranges and purples. Light, rich sea... I sit, sit in the sand, watching the palm trees wave and wobble, the sea wetting the sand, watching the sunset sky. I'm alone.
