German side Bayern Munich have secured a place in the next round of the UEFA Champions League. This comes after a thrashing 8 to 2 victory on 14 August over FC Barcelona, the side who thought this could be their year. This is recorded as one of Barcelona’s worst losses. Lionel Messi, Barcelona’s captain is now being interviewed by the press a lot, because of rumours that he might be moving away from Barca.

The goals from Bayern were scored by Thomas Muller, Phillipe Couthinho, (they both scored twice), Robert Lewandowski, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich and Ivan Perisic. Though undoubtedly one of the best parts of the match was when Alphonso Davies made an amazing assist to Joshua Kimmich. Alphonso is 19 years old, he dribbled past lots of Barca defenders before nipping it to the goalscorer Kimmich, for him to tap in.
