Bayern Munich are champions of Europe, after a 1-0 win over Paris St-Germain. After winning all 21 of their previous games Bayern Munich came into the Champions League final favourites to win. But following a goalless first half each team was even more determined to score. 

Both teams had their chances, but it was Coman’s header in the 59th minute that won the game for Bayern. From that moment on the task was clear, PSG had to score the equaliser. Their coach Thomas Tuchel (who was sitting on a cool box due to a broken leg) was coaching from the sidelines but there was nothing they could do, the trophy was Bayern’s.

Bayern Munich caused frustration to PSG players disallowing Mbappa and Neymar to shine. The goal scoring duo (Mbappe and Neymar) were unable to break through the Bayern defence, which may have caused further frustration to PSG.

To this day, Marseille remains the only French team to have won the Champions League, and Bayern Munich have just taken home the title for a 6th time.
