Kill Joy by Holly Jackson was one of this year's £1 World Book Day books that you can still buy with a £1 book token from your school. It was the perfect prequel to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder as it was a mini-mystery without a real murder (because it would have been too short for that), but still very gripping. It was clever because it was a murder game, and showed how Pip (the main character) got interested in the real murder in the first place. It also stayed true to all small references or mentions in the first book, so it fitted in really well. Makes the wait for the next book in the series easier!
