Boy, Everywhere

By A. M. Dassu

It started with the urge to get new trainers. Then, Sami’s family were travelling from Syria to England. How? Why?

Sami is just an ordinary kid, who wants to be the best at football, beat the bullies and enjoy a good game of FIFA with his friend Joseph. However, living in Syria was risky, so when a bomb exploded in a mall, Sami’s parents had to make the tough decision to flee to England. At first, he wanted to contradict this idea. But then, he knew it was all his fault, and he would have to take the consequences of his demands...

(PS: it wasn’t his fault he demanded for trainers. He was just being a normal kid. However, when he saw how his family was breaking apart, Sami felt guilt soaring through him).
