Anne Frank The Diary of a Young Girl

During Lockdown, I’ve learnt about family and friends and that you don’t appreciate something enough until it’s gone. For the past week or so I have been reading Anne Frank: The Diary Of A Young Girl and it made me realise just how lucky I am.

During the Second World War, 13yr old Anne Frank, her family and another family went into hiding from Hitler. Hitler and the Nazis were tearing Jews from their own homes and sending them to concentration camps all around the country. Anne Frank was hiding for more than two years (2.08493) from the Nazis but sadly Anne’s story has a less than happy ending…. 

My Lockdown, and reading Anne Frank, has shone a new light on something for me and I am thankful for that.
