Frost hollow hall

This book rarely has happy moments in, as hinted to by the title, but really transforms you into the exact scene you are reading.
It's the first book in Lemony Snicket's ( pen name ) "A Series of Unfortunate Events". It's a breath-taking, exciting adventure, with a can't - put-down plot. A basic summary: The 3 Baudelaire siblings, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny find themselves adopted by an evil distant relative, Count Olaf. His friendly neighbour, wants to adopted them and rescue them from horrible Olaf. At the end...well I won't ruin the legendary plot. Sadly, the kids don't get to live with Olaf's neighbour, Justice Strauss.
There is a ton of threat, danger, and a few bits of blood. This is not a horror book, some parts are even funny.
I'd say it's probably for ages 9 - 14. Definitely recommend!
