Imagine a world where death is not a thing and everyone is immortal - that is unless you get killed (or gleaned) by a professional scythe. The scythes have everything - they are the new monarchs of death, but obviously, when a scythe dies or self gleans, someone must take the previous scythes place. That is exactly what Citra Terranova and her scythe apprentice accomplice have to do.

A super book trilogy written by American author Neal Shusterman is a fantastic read for teens and tweens. I highly recommend it.
