My Fitness Routine

There are so many fitness routines on YouTube and websites like Go Noodle, but sometimes it’s fun to create your OWN one, whether or not you actually practice regularly.

1) Warm up your body before you do anything: you won’t want aching legs afterwards, would you? Come on, let’s jog on the spot for 2 minutes - don’t stop!!! Three, two one... start!

2) Once you have done that, it’s time for some harder exercises. Lie on a flat surface (preferably a mat) and do the plank (go on https://greatist.com/fitness/perfect-plank#plank-variations to see how to do different types of planks). Hold it for as long as you can, don’t give up too soon!

3) Woah, that was hard. Let's do a more relaxing and easier movement – the lunge. Hold a lunge for 30 seconds on your left leg, and then do the same for your right leg. https://greatist.com/move/lunge-variations-you-need-to-know shows different variations of lunges, so that you don’t have to keep on doing the same one. Which one do you like the best?

4) Star jumps, yay! Let’s do 20 star jumps now, and then take a break. Grab a bottle of water and sit down. Now let’s do another 20 star jumps and then take a break again. See how long you can keep on doing this – remember, don’t stretch yourself so much that you can’t do any other exercises.

5) I love doing burpees; they are great for every part of your body. However, sometimes it’s hard to remember the order of it. Visit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLBImHhCXSw to remind yourself how to do them. Do as many of them as you can in 1 minute 30 seconds, and, challenge yourself!!!

This routine may be quite short, but it is very useful to exercise every part of your body.  If you feel that it's too short, maybe do double of this workout so it's more effective.
