Djokovic is a Serbian tennis player, who has won seventeen grand slam titles including winning Wimbledon five times and the Australian open nine times. A few weeks ago he went to Australia to compete in the Australian open, while not having the covid vaccine as his lawyer said he had an exemption from having it as he had covid in December. When Djokovic arrived he was put into a quarantine hotel while the court made the decision on whether he was allowed to stay. In court the three judges decided that it was best to upheld the Australian government's decision to cancel his visa and deport him from the country. And after a bit of time that was exactly what happened. His visa was cancelled by Mr Hawk, the Australian immigration minister, who said it was in the public interest. Now that his visa is cancelled he has a three year ban from entering Australia. After Djokovic's visa was cancelled he admitted a lot of interesting things, such as the fact he had an interview with a French person in real life as well as his travel form having false information on, as it did not say all of the countries he visited in the two weeks before going to Australia. Because of this incident the French government is now saying that if you want to participate in the French open you have to be vaccinated. Honestly I think that the Australian government made the correct decision when it came to what to do with Djokovic, but that's just my opinion what do you think did the Australian government make the correct decision, if no then what would you have done instead.
