Russia and Ukraine have not been on good terms recently. In fact, Russia has sent around 100,000 troops to the borders of the Ukraine territory, but why? Why all the fuss? Why are so many countries getting involved in this?
NATO
NATO stands for The North Atlantic Treaty Organization which is an alliance between 27 European countries, 2 North American countries, and 1 Eurasian country. The Political Aspect
There is a political aspect to this too, though. The leader of Russia (President Vladimir Putin) does not like the current leader of Ukraine (President Volodymyr Zelensky) as he is not as pro-Russian as Putin would want.
However, there are many other pro-Russian people in Ukraine who Putin does like, and he wants one of them to replace President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Expanding Russia
The last reason as to why Russia is sending troupes to the borders of Ukraine is that Russia may want to expand. By invading Ukraine, Russia would grow bigger and stronger.
Although Russia hasn’t yet invaded Ukraine, it is likely that they will with all the signs of Russia getting prepared for attack.
