Scotland's school gates opened to younger pupils for the first time since Christmas this week. In stage one of a phased 'return to normality', primary 1-3 pupils and nursery children were allowed to return to their classrooms and see their friends again, but many are still concerned. Students who have to submit practical work for exams are also allowed to attend school.
It is hoped that older primary aged pupils will get back to school from 15 March and that remaining year groups will return after the Easter break. It will be a great relief to many when that can happen and we can all get back to learning, playing sport, hanging out with our friends and connecting with each other again.
