With the world stuck at home, we all have a lot of time on our hands. With this in mind, we have collated a list of our favourite series to watch.

  1. Stranger Things. This is rated PEGI 15 but the content isn’t inappropriate, only scary. It has an underlying story of friendship with a lot of drama and a bit of sci-fi. We all love this show, which is available on Netflix.

  2. Scorpion. This is about a team of geniuses who work together to avert disasters of a global level. You really get to know the characters and want them to succeed. This show will make you laugh, cry and everything else in between. As if this wasn’t enough, it’s also a love story! This is also available on Netflix.

  3. Death in Paradise. This is a comical whodunnit set on a fictional Caribbean island. With the cast changing every 2 or 3 seasons, this show never gets boring. As well as this, there are often famous faces popping up as star guests so look out for them as you go through. This is available to watch on BBC iPlayer as well as on Netflix

  4. Tiger King. This is also rated PEGI 15 but only because of the language which is, quite frankly, awful. If that doesn’t put you off though, this show is for you, Taking the world by storm, you’ve probably heard about it on the news. It follows Joe Exotic and his story. Available on Netflix.

  5.  The Mallorca Files. This show, similar to Death in Paradise, is about a couple of detectives on an island, but this time it’s Mallorca. Together, they travel around Mallorca looking for clues to piece together to solve the cases. It is definitely one for those who like a gentle murder mystery, and a will they won’t they love story too. This is available on BBC iPlayer

  6. Doctor Who. The whole adventure is now available on Netflix and BBC iPlayer so you can get lost in the action from the start. It follows the Doctor, who regenerates every once in a while, and their team as they try to save the world from various different sci-fi monsters. It’s a fantastic show with an even better storyline.

  7. Brooklyn 99. This show follows the story of Ray Holt, an eccentric commanding officer who leads a quirky team of detectives to solve crimes in Brooklyn, NYC. It is such a bingeworthy show, you may have to bring some snacks with you if you make the wise decision to settle down and watch this show. It is available on All 4 and Netflix.

  8. Friday Night Dinner. This comedy gold will take you away from the stresses of life stuck at home and invite you into someone else’s. It portrays the wonderfully quirky Goodman family and the antics they get up to. This sitcom is a perfect escape and will have you rolling on the floor laughing with the characters daft ideas and funny quips. It is available to watch on All 4 and Netflix.

  9. FRIENDS. An oldie but a goodie. The characters each have something for everyone and no matter how many times you watch it, it never gets less brilliant. The iconic 6 and the famous faces make for excellent viewing and each episode follows a new storyline yet put together, it creates one big story you’ll never forget. Available on Netflix.

  10. The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air. This show, starring Will Smith, is the ultimate feel-good show. When Will moves to a new neighbourhood to live with his uncle, aunt and cousins, it’s a far cry from what he was used to and even further from what he was expecting. The story takes you through his time there, bonding and meeting new people. This classic is available on Netflix.
