'I am so sorry for you', 'I hope he gets well soon', 'He’s a brave boy'… Annika Truman has heard it all. After all, she is a seventeen-year-old girl who has a younger brother with cancer. No matter how many people try to console her, it does not change the fact that there is a surgery around the corner which could determine her brother’s life.

No number of positive thoughts can change the fact that her brother could be dead on the Friday that is coming. But she refuses to allow Jeremy to believe the fact and makes up a fake genie to give him the chance to wish for anything.

However, Jeremy is young and naive and wishes to meet his favourite actor. Now, Annika is forced to bunk school so that she can go to the depth of Hollywood, drag Steve Raleigh to Jeremy whilst defeating any odds that come in the way and maybe falling in love, all before the impending surgery on Friday, without her parents knowing.

This book is a heart-warming rom-com with messages about friendship and family that revolves around a moving sibling love.
