When lockdown started I was only eight on the second day of lockdown I turned nine. I miss school and seeing my friends. I’m self isolating with my little cousins Stanley and Vinnie. It takes saying ‘no’ to make Vinnie cry and Stanley always is happy to come over to our house. My brother [Arthur] and I are getting used to lockdown and so is everyone else, Olive my sister, is mainly out doing the horses, in Dads office working, or on her phone, so I don’t see her much. My mum is the teacher of me and Arthur in lockdown, we work in the playroom and we get quite a lot of arguments. To make things worse, part of the time we are teaching her! She’s getting better but she hasn’t cracked fractions yet. Our sports teacher is uncle Adam who also is our mechanic for when our bikes break.

We are learning some other things we wouldn’t be learning at school for example, making cakes for the NHS and doing a 25 k bike ride we made £40 out of that. There are some good things about Covid but I want it to end, and I think everyone would agree with me on that. I really miss school, I miss seeing all my friends, I miss proper teachers, I miss everything like it was before Covid. I miss going elsewhere than just our garden. In short I want everything back to normal.

My mum [Rebecca] ,dad [Edward], uncle [Adam] and aunt [Jemima] are coping perfectly to keep us safe. NHS are amazing and there the people who are going to kill Coronavirus, but we have to help them by staying indoors to stay safe and to not get hurt. This is a tough virus to get through but we have to stay strong, keep distance and support each other. Keep distance, stay safe, kill coronavirus, help NHS, KEEP CALM.

Myself, I feel a bit guilty that I have so much land to play in. If I could, I would pick out a field or a piece of field like the mini beach created by someone who took away gravel. I am an extremely lucky boy.
