WHAT PARENTS / GUARDIANS NEED TO KNOW

Parents/guardians need to know that The Curious Times is an online magazine, created by young people. In addition to the curioustimes.co.uk website, The Curious Times presents a regular podcast and has a social media presence on Instagram and TikTok.

All Curious Times content is produced by children under the age of 18, and there is a strong educational, environmental and educational focus. Kid-friendly information about current affairs, age-appropriate entertainment content and debates and discussions relevant to the lives of young people are featured regularly.

Young people who wish to submit content to the website must first create a profile on The Curious Portal. Any child under the age of 16 will require the permission of a parent or guardian to set up an account and create a profile.

Administrators approve all articles, photos, footage and content submitted to the website via The Curious Portal. All writers must sign up to our Writing Guidelines, and we have a strict policy to ensure that bad language, discrimination and inappropriate content does not appear on the site.

There is no charge to access The Curious Times. The Curious Times does not pay children for the content they submit.

Parents/guardians should be aware that we have a Newsletter. If a child is under 16 we ask that a parent/guardian email address is used.

Parents/guardians should also be aware that if a child clicks on 'Write for Us' they will be taken to our Curious Portal website. They can return to curioustimes.co.uk via a link on the Portal page. If a child clicks on our Podcast link, they will be taken to curioustimes.buzzsprout.com

We take online security very seriously, please see our Privacy Policy for more information.

We hope your child enjoys The Curious Times and is inspired to get involved. We try hard to provide content that we think children will love, but we are not responsible for monitoring the online activity of children accessing our website. Please teach your child how best to stay safe when they are online.
