The Curious Times can now predict that Joe Biden has won the US Presidential election. After a day of several states frantically counting, the Associated Press, followed by various US networks such as CNN and Fox News, called the election and declared Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. the President-Elect of the United States of America.

Kamala Harris has become vice-president-elect of the US. This is the first time in history that a woman, and a woman of colour, has been elected to such a position in the White House.

Donald Trump is currently refusing to make a concession speech as would be tradition. President-Elect Biden has released a statement saying that it is ‘time for America to heal and unite’. He is leading currently by 273 to 214. (A candidate needs 270 to win.) 

President Trump has filed various lawsuits in the states that he had lost. Will President Trump leave with a dignified phone call to the 46th President of the United States to concede or will he leave in a haze of lawsuits and courtroom drama?
