On the 7th of March, Meghan Markle had an interview with Oprah Winfrey in which she made allegations of racism, saying there were 'concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born' referring to her son Archie.

She also said 'My only regret is believing them that they'd protect me', referring to the rest of the royal family.

Following this, the UK is in shambles and you could say is divided between believers of the interview and non-believers of the interview who include people like Piers Morgan, the main presenter of Good Morning Britain who after speaking out against Meghan got lots of complaints from viewers and resigned.

Meghan also made claims that under all the pressure of the royal family she at one point wanted to 'do harm' to herself.

Yesterday a spokesperson for Kate Middleton made claims that the interview made her cry.

On the 9th March the Queen finally broke the silence on the interview, saying:

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for them. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

However some people are curious if Meghan is actually telling the truth, because at the time when they stepped down from their royal duties, there were no such claims and they seemed much more relaxed about it.

Whatever radio station you switch on, they will have at least mentioned Meghan at least once in the past 4 days.

The interview has stunned not just Britons, but people worldwide.

Half the people in the UK watched the interview live.

Americans took it very seriously, seeming as Oprah Winfrey was, and still is, one of the key figures in the fight against racism.

Many people are referring to it as 'the bombshell interview' after how hard it has hit the royal family.

One positive thing Meghan mentioned in the interview was that she loves the Queen and will always be very good family to her.
