Why? That is a question that has been buzzing in my head for years. Why is it that in all shops the tops in the girls section are pink, and say ' Be kind ' ? And why in every shops, in the girls section, the PJs have Disney princess on them? Why do girls get given Barbies and unicorn toys for their birthday presents at their parties? Why do shops have a girls section full of T - Shirts saying: Hope, Love, Be kind, Girl power? Me, and many other girls, are sick of these messages. Me ,and many other girls, are expected to make the world a better place, to be kind and to never, not even once, get into trouble. Its a lot of pressure. When I go out, people always call me a boy. Why? Is it because my hair is short, I wear trousers, and hoodies? Or is it because I'm not wearing pink dresses and heart sunglasses? I'm annoyed that people think that this is what girls are, when there not. Some girls wear these things, but not all of them. So don't base girls on just one look. Or you have forgotten Emmeline Pankhurst, Anne Frank, Charlotte Bronte, and so many other amazing women.
Some Girls always bring spray cans, and skateboards when they go to the park. Others bring basketballs, and wear ripped jeans. Some love fencing, others put there quill in ink. Women are more than flowers.
